keigaz:

I wish that you will truly have these men on your birthday. Love yah!
Happy birthday cuzin!
March 11, Friday, I woke up gasping for breath coz I’m having my usual (I got lots of these) sleep paralysis -the urge of waking up but can’t move any part of your body so you end up screaming in your sleep w/o voice. I guess that’s the universe’s way of telling me that something wrong is actually happening in the world yet I am sleeping lazily. Feeling heavy hearted coz of the thought that I die in my sleep, I went straight to watching cinema one on TFC without any information of what’s happening in Japan until I opened my twitter account. So can you imagine how I felt when I saw the big waves on ANC ruthlessly sweeping the northern Japan. My head suddenly felt light and I felt like fainting. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be there.
My sister and I panic coz my brother is based in Japan, and we didn’t even know if Ibaraki is northern or southern of Japan. We tried calling him but the network’s already clogged and disconnected. Thanks to Facebook we saw him updating his status so we assumed that they’re fine.
That is my brother’s place and thanks God, this is the only damage they got. And thanks God for keeping them safe.

My heart breaks watching how earthquake and tsunami devastatingly swept Japan. I love Japan. It is my dream Asian destination alongside Korea. Japan has been our sole bread and butter before I came to Dubai to work. My brother works and live there when I was still in college and up until now. My first job in the Phils. was also in a Japanese firm. I witnessed first hand how disciplined, prepared and how everything they do is according to standards, so it’s too surreal to see how they struggle now.
The trains are wrecked, there are long queues to buy drinking water, scarcity of food supplies in the groceries and schedule of brown-out, these are few among the many struggle they are facing now. Fukushima nuclear power plant unstable and radiation leaks. Not to mention how many livelihood, businesses, houses and lives were lost and the fear and trauma it brought to people.
It’s too sad that some people aren’t really taking this seriously. I’ve read some comment that says “Aus lang yun, mayaman naman sila” reffering to what happened in Japan. Some people are blinded by riches and earthly things, that they actually think it can save us from the wrath of the environment?
With all the struggle Japan is facing now, I realize and appreciate more how conveniently we are living now. How in everytime we turn on the switch, we have instant electricity, we turn the faucet on, and there is water, there are abundant grocery in the shelves, food in the fridge and yet we still complain, waste food, water and electricity.
I sincerely pray that Japan could recover from this.

And I hope people will start to have more concern and care for the environment. Or is it too late already?
My ultimate dream is to travel around the world. Although I really don’t enjoy the actual flying time, especially if I travel alone. I got bored. What excites me though are the clouds. They look so peaceful and makes me realize how amazingly great our God is. It’s just perfect and magical.
Dubai Festival City. February 25.
The organizers announced that the gates will be open at 3PM. Excited as we are, 2pm pa lang nasa DFC na kame.
The excitement is too obvious in our faces. Freshness pa kame dito.

The queue at the entrance. Blockbuster!

When we arrive at the stage area, after mga 30mins na nabilad sa arawan at hindi pa man nagsisimula ang eklavoo inannounce na nila na may 15 mins break at 6:20 pm to pay respect to the prayer time of the host country. Tapos medyo matatagalan pa raw magsimula dahil sa madaming kadahilanan (as usual Filipino time).
Yung una naming tayo, malapit lang sana sa stage but we have to kill time sa walang araw bago pa kame maging Nita Negrita.

Then boredom has started to kick us.

Grabe as in grabe lang ang paghihintay, from 3 PM as in literally nalubugan na kame ng araw.
Kundi lang talaga dahil kay Zanjoe. Chos.

After PATIENTLY waiting, (though I’m very impatient the whole time) nagstart na ang show at 6pm with front acts from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi and a game from HappyYipee Yehey. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit sabi ng mga host wala pa daw ang mga taartis (w/c is the obvious reason kaya kame nanood) but then sabi naman nila kanina pa rin sila 3pm sa van. Hmmm.. blame game?
At sa wakas isa-isa na silang lumabas starting with Chocoleit.
